3. Fee for granting a Certificate of Protection: 120,000 VND/ certificate. For a patent application with more than 01 independent point of protection claim, from the 2nd independent point onwards, an additional 100,000 VND must be paid for each independent point.
4. Fee for maintaining the validity of the Patent and Utility Solution Protection Certificate: 100,000 VND/year.
5. Maintenance/extension fee for late payment: 10% maintenance/extension fee for each month of late payment.
6. Fee for requesting termination/cancellation of Protection Certificate: 50,000 VND.
7. Application appraisal fee: 900,000 VND/subject. In which: Formal appraisal fee is 20% of the fee (180,000 VND), content appraisal fee is 80% of the fee (720,000 VND). In case the invention description has more than 6 pages, for each page from the 7th page onwards, an additional 40,000 VND/page will be charged.
8. International patent classification fee: 100,000 VND/classification.
9. Application publication fee: 120,000 VND/application.

• Publication fee for the description from the 7th page onwards: 10,000 VND/page.
• Publication fee from the 2nd image onwards: 60,000 VND/image.

10. Fee for looking up information for appraisal: 600,000 VND/protection request.
11. Fee for appraisal of request to amend industrial property registration application: 160,000 VND/each amended content of each application.
12. Fee for appraisal of request for priority rights (if any): 600,000 VND/priority application.
13. Fee for handling a third party’s request to object to a Certificate of Protection: 550,000 VND/each independent point.
14. Fee for registering information on industrial property: 120,000 VND.
15. Fees for using protection certificates:

• 2nd year: 300,000 VND.
• 4th year: 500,000 VND.
• 6th year: 800,000 VND.
• 8th year: 1,200,000 VND.
• 10th year: 1,800,000 VND.
• Year 13: 2,500,000 VND.
• Year 16: 3,300,000 VND.
• Year 20: 4,200,000 VND.

16. International registration appraisal fee: 300,000 VND.

For example: Customers submit an online patent application, a description of the invention includes 8 pages, 2 drawings and request priority rights. Total state fees payable are: 150,000 + 900,000 + (8-6)x40,000 + 100,000 + 120,000 + 10,000x(8-6) + 60,000 + 600,000 + 600,000 = 2,670,000 VND.

• The above fee applies to each patent subject. If you register multiple subjects in the same application, the fees will be combined.
