Note: All documents in the application, if in a foreign language, must be accompanied by a Vietnamese translation. The translation needs to be notarized or authenticated according to Vietnamese law.

Implementation process

The procedure for renewing the Certificate of registration of establishment and operation of a foreign cultural establishment is carried out according to the following steps:

Step 1: Submit application

Foreign cultural establishments in Vietnam submit 01 sets of documents to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Applications can be submitted in person or by post.

Step 2: Receive and check documents

  • The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism receives the application and checks the completeness and validity of the documents in the application.
  • In case the dossier is incomplete or needs supplementation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will notify the foreign cultural establishment in writing within 05 working days from the date of receipt of the dossier.

Step 3: Review and decide to extend

  • Within 15 working days from the date of receipt of complete and valid documents, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism will review and decide to extend the Registration Certificate.
  • In case it is necessary to obtain opinions from relevant agencies, the above time limit may be extended but not to exceed 30 working days.
  • In case of refusal, a written response must be made, clearly stating the reason.
